Minute to Win It - Games - Volcano

Blueprint Description[]

The eruption of Mount St. Helens sent a cloud of hot ash 15 miles into the sky. A Minute To Win It volcano shoots a carbonated geyser of diet soda. In this challenge, the contestant must drop mints from an elevated platform to land one in the inch-wide mouth of a soda bottle, thus launching the fizzy chemical reaction.

Game Description[]

While standing on an elevated platform, drop a mint into a bottle of diet soda.

History[]

This is a level 4 challenge, which can also be played as a team with each member needing one mint.

Voclano

This volcano is no joke.

Household Items:[]

  • Mints
  • Full 2-liter soda bottle

Set Up:[]

Prior to game start, remove the cap from the soda bottle. When the clock starts, the player drops mints, attempting to get one into the bottle. The mint should be dropped 9 feet in the air. Set up the vertical foul line at this distance.

Rules:[]

1. Mints must be dropped from the elevated platform above the foul line 9 feet above.

2. To complete the game, successfully drop one mint into the bottle, creating a volcano eruption effect.

Tips & Tricks[]

The key to success is to find the right balance between speed and accuracy. If the mint is dropped too slowly, it may not have enough momentum to reach the bottle. If it is dropped too quickly, it may overshoot the target. You may want to practice dropping the mints from different heights and at different speeds to find the best combination.

One strategy you could try is to start by dropping the mints from a slightly lower height and gradually increasing the height until you find the sweet spot. You may also want to try adjusting your grip on the mints to see if that affects the trajectory of the drop.

Another tip is to focus on your aim and try to drop the mints as close to the center of the bottle's mouth as possible. This will give you a better chance of landing the mint in the bottle and setting off the chemical reaction.

Overall, the key to success in this game is to find the right balance between speed and accuracy, and to practice your aim and drop technique until you get it right.
